BBC pay-offs hearing: 'I'm not having any more lies this afternoon', says Hodge [2013 Sept]

Mrs Hodge has told Lucy Adams, the BBC's head of HR: "I'm not having any more lies this afternoon". Ms Adams said  she made a mistake in her evidence to MPs over pay-offs to BBC executives. She told a previous hearing that she did not know of an email about the payments, but later admitted she helped compose the email but did not recognise the document from its description.

PRlatt who is allegedly a CEO and all about the customer, is completely off the mark again, out of touch, with society and potential UK customers.

As well as recently joining Tesco Plc, as a non executive director, being associated with Tesco, shows poor ethical judgement, after Tesco were fined by supermarket ombudsman, after seriously breaching the industry's code of conduct to protect grocery suppliers.

Grenville Turner, the former chairman od CWD, stepped down, after  breaching UK Corporate governance code, being replaced by ex Royal Mail Chairman. Are these the faces, of CountryWide PLC and what UK business is all about ?

The NAO also discovered instances in which departing managers were given large pay-offs even after they had found work elsewhere, and examples of staff who were offered consultancy roles at the time of their departure.

"The BBC has breached its own policies on severance too often without good reason," concluded the report, published in July.

"Weak governance arrangements have led to payments that exceeded contractual entitlements and put public trust at risk. Severance payments for senior BBC managers have, therefore, provided poor value for money for licence fee payers."

Helen also represented the BBC as a non-executive on the Freesat Board.

Declaration of personal interests

Staff must make a declaration of their personal and business interests, including any memberships or directorships of public or industry bodies, and any shareholdings, as well as any interests that their immediate families may also have.

A summary is published where there is something to declare and where there is nothing to declare. Occasionally an individual will have something to declare but due to the personal nature of the declaration we do not publish details as to do so would breach the Data Protection Act.

This information is published annually, although if any amendments are made during the year an updated summary will be published if necessary as soon as it is available.
