The council has already spent £200,000 on setting up Move51⁰ North . Labour mayoral candidate Sadiq Khan has promised to set up a London-wide agency along the same lines. A Move51⁰ spokesman said the agency was "at the very early stages of setting up" and operating to target. 'People before profit' Move51⁰ is the first lettings agency to be set up by a borough council. It aims to "put people before profit" by offering tenants good homes at reasonable rents, with vetted landlords. A record low number of affordable homes are being built in the London area, according to figures published by the Greater London Authority. In some London boroughs the number of affordable homes has shriveled, to just a handful. Richmond upon Thames, with a population of 194,000, built just five affordable homes in 2014-15 and the City of London managed zero, while Bromley lost affordable homes after the number of affordable properties was cut when a council estate was refurbished. In total, 6,856 properties defined as affordable were built in the capital in 2014-15, down from 6,914 the year before. Affordable housing includes shared-ownership properties and homes sold at below conventional market prices. As a percentage of all housing built in London , affordable housing has fallen to 25%, down from 39% four years ago. The London Housing Commission was established to define and articulate a clear housing strategy for the next mayor to boost supply, tackle affordability issues, and address failings in the private rented sector over the period of 2016 to 2020 and beyond. Today's launch brought  together around 200 high-profile experts from across the housing sector, and will set out the detailed findings and recommendations of the commission, with contributions from leading mayoral candidates.
