Cornwall man caught and sentenced, selling stolen property on Facebook


A LISKEARD (Cornwall UK ) man was caught selling property, which was stolen by his brother during burglaries after he sent messages to people on Facebook ,offering the items for low prices.
Brian Hanlon, 25, of Poldhu Road, was responsible for his younger brother Scott Hanlon being sent to prison, Truro Crown Court heard on Friday.
Sally Daulton, for the Crown Prosecution service, said Scott Hanlon broke into a property on Yeoman's Close in the town on October 12 and stole a laptop.
Later that day Hanlon sent a message to a contact offering the laptop, valued at £600, for sale for £60.
